CEO and General Manager
Paul Levy, PGA
Paul K. Levy, is the President of Club Operations and Development for Sunrise Company and he serves as the CEO & General Manager of Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, California. Paul was elected PGA of America Secretary in November of 2012 and became Vice President in November 2014. Paul then became the President of the PGA in November of 2016, serving a two-year term as the head officer of the world’s largest working sports association. Paul served as President of the South Texas PGA Section from 1998 to 2000, where he won many awards including the 2000 South Texas PGA Golf Professional of the Year, along with being a three-time Section PGA Junior Golf Leader recipient; earning the 1999 Section Bill Strausbaugh Award; and the 1997 Section Merchandiser of the Year. A native of New Orleans, Levy is a 1983 graduate of Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the Tigers Golf Team. Paul and his wife, Heidi, live in Toscana. They have five children and five grandchildren.
Director of Golf and Assistant General Manager
Dave Craig, PGA
Toscana’s Director of Golf since June of 2006, Dave was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, and graduated from Boston College. In his senior year at Boston College, Dave was Captain of the Golf Team and Greater Boston Intercollegiate Individual Champion. A PGA Member since 1986 he developed an interest for golf operations through his mentor, Charley Raudenbush, General Manager and Head Professional at the famed Pine Valley G.C. Dave then moved on to a Director of Golf positions at Spring Mill Country Club, and Commonwealth National Golf Club, both located near Philadelphia. The Toscana team, under his leadership, has received several National and Regional awards including, “Top 25 Private Club Golf Shops in the Nation” from 2010-2015; as well as “Merchandiser of the Year” for Private Clubs – SCPGA Desert Chapter in 2007-08, and more recently, “Merchandiser of the Year” for the SCPGA Section 2012-13. His wife, Debbie, is an avid golfer and they reside in LaQuinta.

Kirstin Fossey
Kirstin was born and raised in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, and earned a degree in Business with a minor in Political Science. Soon after graduation, Kirstin started her career at UnitedHealth Group in Business Analytics and Communications. After United Health Group, she began working at Piper Jaffray. Kirstin has a proven track record in Marketing & Communications with numerous work related achievements including various fundraising efforts for major corporations. She has been an avid golfer since the age of 6. Kirstin and her husband live in La Quinta, California with their two children: Hudson & Hunter. She is on the Board of Directors for The First Tee of the Coachella Valley. She enjoys golfing, skiing, riding horses and spending time at the baseball field with her children.

Beth Hunter
Beth was born and raised in a suburb outside of Columbus, Ohio. Graduating from Miami University in Oxford, OH, she earned a degree in Health and Sports Studies as well as Accounting. Her first job was opening Gahanna Fitness Club as the Fitness Director. She eventually became the General Manager of the Club, which started her on her country club career path. Her next position was Assistant Fitness Director at New Albany Country Club. Hired before the club opening in 1992, Beth was instrumental in starting up the Bath and Tennis Facility. She later moved into the accounting department where she was promoted to Club Controller. After fourteen years at New Albany Country Club, in 2006 Beth was recruited to Southern California to start up Montesoro Golf and Social Club (now Ram’s Hill Golf Club) in Borrego Springs as CFO and Club Manager. Beth has three children and a labradoodle named Max. She enjoys playing golf, hiking, tennis and pickleball and loves traveling with her family.
Director of Sports Club and Spa Bella Vita
Jennifer DiFrancesco
Jennifer brings more than twenty years of experience to the spa industry. Licensed in Massage Therapy, Esthetics, and a certified Pilates instructor, Jennifer has spent her career perfecting the art of spa at top resorts in California. Jennifer was a post graduate trainer for the International Dermal Institute and a spa trainer for Kerstin Florian Skin Care. In 2005, she became a member of ISPA's Education Committee and was a speaker on behalf of the organization in 2006, where she created presentations on spa management, resource partner relations and spa retail. Since then, Jennifer has worked as the Director of Spa Operations for The Well, at the Miramonte Resort. There she played an integral role in the opening of the spa and helped receive numerous awards such as "#1 Resort Spa in North America" by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine. Jennifer enjoys remaining active in promoting health and wellness in the desert community writing a regular health column for Desert Health newsletter.
Director of Tennis and Pickleball
Nigel O'Rourke
Nigel joined Toscana in 2014 from the Olympic Club in San Francisco. Prior to his tenure at The Olympic Club, he was Director of Tennis at the David Lloyd Clubs in London, England, Sugarbush in Vermont, and Wood Valley Racquet Club in Kansas. Born in London and raised in Toronto, Nigel attended Wichita State University on an athletic scholarship where he studied Business Management. Nigel played on the ATP Tour in the early 80s and was a member of the Canadian Davis Cup squad in ‘81-82. He also served on the USTA 10&U and Adult League Committees and was a member of the USTA NorCal Coaches Commission. Nigel has more than 30 years of experience in the tennis and leisure industry. He is certified by the USPTA and USPTR as an Elite Professional and is a USA High Performance Coach. Nigel still competes regularly, and has represented Canada at the World Team Championships. Away from the tennis court, Nigel is an avid sportsman and enjoys cycling, skiing, swimming, and fitness training.

Matt Samson
Matt is joining Toscana for the 2015-2016 season after nine years as Food & Beverage Director and Clubhouse Manager at The Springs Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA. He spent six years with ClubCorp as an Executive Chef and received awards of Food & Beverage distinction with the company. Matt is motivated to bring the highest level of service to Toscana from his years of experience. He has been in the Food and Beverage industry his entire career and he has had the opportunity to participate in unique experiences. Matt has erected a European yurt in the Wasatch mountains for five-course “ski in” dinners, catered World Cup skiing events at the ski jump base and worked American Culinary Federation Escoffier dinners as a culinary apprentice. He has been married to his wife Dana for thirteen years and together have three young children, Dylan, Blake and Ryan. Matthew has called the Coachella Valley his home since 2000 and enjoys playing tennis and golf.

Eric Wadlund
Eric joined Toscana in 2014 after his six years as Executive Chef and Director of Operations at Spencer’s Restaurant in Palm Springs, CA. His goal is to ensure that Members and their guests have an inspired and enjoyable dining experience. Eric was just four when he whipped up his first culinary delight: doughnuts, at his father’s bakery. At the age of 18, he began his formal training, serving as apprentice at the highly acclaimed Madison Club in Wisconsin. After Madison, Eric worked under James Beard Award winning Chef Buben in Washington's prestigious Occidental Restaurant. Eric’s passion led him to work in some of America’s finest four star restaurants including Azur by Le Bernardin, The Occidental, The Rattlesnake and Terra Cotta. He has had the honor of cooking at the James Beard House three times. Eric and his family live in La Quinta and have called the desert their home since 2002. He and his family enjoy traveling and golf.

Chae Collette
Chae Collette started her training in the hospitality industry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and White Plains, New York. In 1990, she headed west to beautiful southern California where she was employed by Club Corporation of America properties in San Diego and Indian Wells for numerous years. She served in the capacities of Catering and Social Director, Membership Director and Member Relations Director at each property. She joined Sunrise Company as a Catering Director at Indian Ridge Country Club prior to her arrival at Toscana Country Club. Chae has been at Toscana for 13 years and she is instrumental coordinating numerous events and weddings at the club. Chae and her husband, who is also in the private club industry, reside in La Quinta with their son and daughter. Their son is a full time student at Cal Berkeley and their daughter is a sophomore in high school excelling in both academics and athletics.
Vice President of Golf Course Maintenance
Rick Sall
Rick is originally from Ohio where he graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor's of Science in National Resources Administration and a second Bachelor's of Science in Turfgrass Management and Science. Rick moved to the Desert in 1995 and was the Golf Course Superintendent at Tamarisk Country Club for thirteen years prior to coming to Sunrise Company in 2002. Rick and his wife Mariann, have two children. In his free time, Rick enjoys boating, snow skiing and golf.
Director of Instruction
Bill Harmon
Bill Harmon was introduced to the game by his father, Claude Harmon, 1948 Masters Champion. With his brothers Butch, Craig and Dick, the family was awarded "The Golf Family of the Year" as well as the "Richardson Award" for lifetime contributions to the game of golf. Bill is the Director of Instruction at Toscana, and President of the Harmon Experience Golf Schools. Together with his wife, Robin, the Harmon Recovery Foundation was created in 2010. Through their lifetime experiences and mutual relationships, they have raised money in support of those people suffering from drug and alcohol dependency. Bill has been honored as a Golf Magazine’s Top 50 Instructor, and a Top Teacher in California. He caddied for Jay Haas from 1978-1988 and has remained his coach to the present time. Additionally, Bill has coached many Tour Professionals including Bill Haas, John Merrick, Craig Stadler and LPGA player Nicole Castrale. Bill and Robin reside in La Quinta and have two sons, Zack and Jay.

Crista Collins
Crista Collins has been Toscana's Membership Director since 2012. She presents a proven track record in marketing and client relations. Earning her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota, she began her career specializing as an interior designer. Her focus transitioned to sales where she has been recognized as a top producer and received national recognition for innovative sales ideas, events and campaigns. Crista possesses a unique capacity to build relationships and earn the trust of others; this is a true reflection of her professionalism, charisma, sincerity and loyalty. Her savvy and ability to think on her feet are also among her greatest strengths. She is a proud alumni of the Leadership Coachella Valley Class of 2015, which is program designed to identify, motivate and develop future community leaders. Crista has grown a strong affinity for the game of golf and she also enjoys writing, working out, playing piano, cooking and entertaining.
Locker Room Manager
James Gonzales
James joined Toscana in 2014 as the Locker Room Manager. James brings more than twenty years of Food and Beverage experience in country clubs with experience as Director of Food and Beverage and Special Events at Woodhaven Country Club for nearly four years. James also worked for Club Corp for over fourteen years. During his tenure with Club Corp, he worked at Mission Hills Country Club (Home to the annual Dinah Shore ladies PGA Tournament) as the Food and Beverage Service Director, Braemar Country Club as Food and Beverage Supervisor and Porter Valley Country Club as Restaurant Supervisor. James also has passion for classic cars and has been fortunate enough to restore a few.
Director of Housekeeping & Engineering
Louis Na Val
Louis attended the University of California, Davis and earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics and Mathematics. Louis' career started in the oil and gas industry, where he built and consulted on gas stations, truck stops and fuel depots. He traveled extensively through North and South America for his position. He landed back in the desert and began working at The Desert Sun as their Facilities Manager. After several years at The Desert Sun, he took a position with Eisenhower Medical Center as their Assistant Director of Medical Facilities. Louis Na Val was born in Palm Springs and raised in Yucca Valley. In his free time, Louis enjoys cooking, baking, camping, building custom cars and bikes and spending time with his family.
