Director of Golf
Charlie Peterson, PGA
Charlie Peterson joined Toscana in 2017 as the Director of Golf. Prior to Toscana, Charlie was the Director of Golf at Indian Ridge Country Club and had been with Indian Ridge since he first moved to California in 2003. He is focused on creating an exceptional golf experience that exceeds Members and guests expectations by anticipating their needs and offering outstanding service. Charlie is a member of the PGA of America and a graduate of the Golf Academy of America, with a degree in Golf Complex Operations and Business Administration. Charlie was born and raised in Minnesota and began his golf professional career at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club and Bear Path Country Club in the Twin Cities area. He and his wife Megan live in La Quinta, California with their two children: Gwen & Will. They enjoy family days at the pool, visiting the Living Desert and Children’s Museum of the Desert and boating on the Colorado River.
Director of Instruction
Bill Harmon
Bill Harmon was introduced to the game by his father, Claude Harmon, 1948 Masters Champion. With his brothers Butch, Craig and Dick, the family was awarded “The Golf Family of the Year” as well as the “Richardson Award” for lifetime contributions to the game of golf. Bill is the Director of Instruction at Toscana, and President of the Harmon Experience Golf Schools. Together with his wife, Robin, the Harmon Recovery Foundation was created in 2010. Through their lifetime experiences and mutual relationships, they have raised money in support of those people suffering from drug and alcohol dependency. Bill has been honored as a Golf Magazine’s Top 50 Instructor, and a Top Teacher in California. He caddied for Jay Haas from 1978-1988 and has remained his coach to the present time. Additionally, Bill has coached many Tour Professionals including Bill Haas, John Merrick, Craig Stadler and LPGA player Nicole Castrale. Bill and Robin reside in La Quinta and have two sons, Zack and Jay.
Head Golf Professional
Robby Newbill, PGA
Robby was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Business Administration. He played collegiate Baseball at Pacific University before finishing up his degree at the University of Oregon. Robby has worked at Brasada Ranch Golf Club in Bend, Oregon as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional. Robby is currently a PGA Apprentice working towards his PGA Certification. Outside of Golf Robby enjoys fishing, boating and being outdoors.
Golf Operations Manager
Lynda Jensen, PGA
Lynda is a California native raised in Hollister near the Monterey Peninsula. She grew up playing competitive junior golf earning a spot on the PGA Junior Cup Team while competing in Manchester England. Lynda went on to play collegiately at Brigham Young University where she was named All American in her senior year. She majored in Business & Accounting and chose golf as her profession after college. A PGA Member since 1993, Lynda has worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Lake Arrowhead County Club, Tracy Golf & Country Club. She also owned and operated The Highlands Golf & Country Club golf shops with her husband Kelly, who is also a PGA Member. Outside of work, Lynda enjoys playing family scrambles or grudge matches with her husband and children.
Assistant Golf Professional
Warren Pineo, PGA
Warren was born and raised on the Central Coast of California. He attended College of the Desert while playing on the golf team. Prior to joining the team at Toscana Country Club, Warren was an assistant golf professional at Indian Ridge Country Club as well as a professional golfer on the Canadian Tour for two seasons. He has qualified for Nationwide and PGA Tour events, including the 2007 US Open at Oakmont Country Club. Warren and his wife, have three children.

JUNIORS
Developing young golfers is a key to growing the game of golf. Bring your kids and grandkids out for lessons to help build their golf skills and knowledge.
Ages 16-17
Etiquette / Rules / Golf Car Operation Test
General knowledge of USGA Rules of Golf and Toscana Country Club Golf Rules. Must pass Etiquette Test with a perfect score (100%) and Basic Rules Test with 80% or better. To operate a Toscana Country Club golf cart, the junior must have a valid Driver’s License and pass the Golf Car Operation Test with a perfect score (100%).
Ball Striking Test
Must get the ball airborne and show some proficiency with golf in general. Certification will include playing three holes (par 3, par 4, par 5) with a PGA Professional.
Golf Course and Practice Facility Usage
If accompanied by an adult, Certified Juniors may play golf or practice at any time.
Unaccompanied Practice Facility & Golf Course Usage
The practice facility is open to Certified Juniors after 12:00 pm or with the permission of the Toscana Professional Staff. To play the golf course unaccompanied (walking or with a golf car per the above stipulation), the junior must be able to score double par or better during the three-hole certification test. Play is permitted after 12:00 pm with permission from the Toscana Professional Staff.
