John Cochrane, PGA
John Cochrane joined Toscana in 2017 as the General Manager. Prior to Toscana, Mr. Cochrane was the General Manager of the private club at PGA West, where he was responsible for the operation of three private golf courses, membership sales, marketing, fitness, tennis, pickleball and food and beverage. For five years beginning in 1996 he was also the Director of Golf for the PGA West private club. For 13 years between his PGA West assignments, Mr. Cochrane was Director of Golf—and effectively General Manager—of Del Mar Country Club, an exclusive luxury golf and country club in Del Mar, California. Mr. Cochrane believes that attitude is everything and that enthusiasm is contagious. He is focused on establishing excellent member relations and he takes pride in the successes of his employees. Through his respect, mentoring and encouragement, many of his former employees now hold leadership roles in the club industry. Mr. Cochrane and his wife Gayle live in La Quinta.

Kirstin Fossey
Kirstin was born and raised in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, and earned a degree in Business with a minor in Political Science. Soon after graduation, Kirstin started her career at UnitedHealth Group in Business Analytics and Communications. After United Health Group, she began working at Piper Jaffray. Kirstin has a proven track record in Communications with numerous work related achievements including various fundraising efforts for major corporations.

Stefen MacMaster
Stefen MacMaster was born and raised in the small town of Laingsburg, Michigan. He attended Ferris State University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and also graduated from the Professional Golf Management Program. After being elected to PGA membership, he moved to the Coachella Valley to start his career at Rancho La Quinta Country Club joining them as an Assistant Golf Professional. In 2014, Stefen was promoted to Andalusia Country Club where he worked for several years. Stefen is currently working on a PGA Certification in golf operations and is in the process of obtaining his California Real Estate License. He loves to be outdoors; his favorite activities include golfing, hiking and fly fishing.

Charlie Peterson, PGA
Charlie Peterson joined Toscana in 2017 as the Director of Golf. Prior to Toscana, Charlie was the Director of Golf at Indian Ridge Country Club and had been with Indian Ridge since he first moved to California in 2003. He is focused on creating an exceptional golf experience that exceeds Members and guests expectations by anticipating their needs and offering outstanding service. Charlie is a member of the PGA of America and a graduate of the Golf Academy of America, with a degree in Golf Complex Operations and Business Administration. Charlie was born and raised in Minnesota and began his golf professional career at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club and Bear Path Country Club in the Twin Cities area. He and his wife Megan live in La Quinta, California with their two children: Gwen & Will. They enjoy family days at the pool, visiting the Living Desert and Children’s Museum of the Desert and boating on the Colorado River.

Bill Harmon
Bill Harmon was introduced to the game by his father, Claude Harmon, 1948 Masters Champion. With his brothers Butch, Craig and Dick, the family was awarded "The Golf Family of the Year" as well as the "Richardson Award" for lifetime contributions to the game of golf. Bill is the Director of Instruction at Toscana, and President of the Harmon Experience Golf Schools. Together with his wife, Robin, the Harmon Recovery Foundation was created in 2010. Through their lifetime experiences and mutual relationships, they have raised money in support of those people suffering from drug and alcohol dependency. Bill has been honored as a Golf Magazine’s Top 50 Instructor, and a Top Teacher in California. He caddied for Jay Haas from 1978-1988 and has remained his coach to the present time. Additionally, Bill has coached many Tour Professionals including Bill Haas, John Merrick, Craig Stadler and LPGA player Nicole Castrale. Bill and Robin reside in La Quinta and have two sons, Zack and Jay.

Beth Hunter
Beth was born and raised in a suburb outside of Columbus, Ohio. Graduating from Miami University in Oxford, OH, she earned a degree in Health and Sports Studies as well as Accounting. Her first job was opening Gahanna Fitness Club as the Fitness Director. She eventually became the General Manager of the Club, which started her on her country club career path. Her next position was Assistant Fitness Director at New Albany Country Club. Hired before the club opening in 1992, Beth was instrumental in starting up the Bath and Tennis Facility. She later moved into the accounting department where she was promoted to Club Controller. After fourteen years at New Albany Country Club, in 2006 Beth was recruited to Southern California to start up Montesoro Golf and Social Club (now Ram’s Hill Golf Club) in Borrego Springs as CFO and Club Manager. Beth has three children and a labradoodle named Max. She enjoys playing golf, hiking, tennis and pickleball and loves traveling with her family.

Jennifer DiFrancesco
Jennifer brings more than twenty years of spa experience to Toscana. Licensed in Massage Therapy, Esthetics, and a certified Pilates instructor, Jennifer has spent her career perfecting the art of spa at top resorts in California. Jennifer was a post graduate trainer for the International Dermal Institute and a spa trainer for Kerstin Florian Skin Care. In 2005, she became a member of ISPA's Education Committee and was a speaker on behalf of the organization. In 2006, she created presentations on spa management, resource partner relations and spa retail. Since then, Jennifer has worked as the Director of Spa Operations for The Well, at the Miramonte Resort. There she played an integral role in opening the spa and helped receive numerous awards such as "#1 Resort Spa in North America" by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine. Jennifer enjoys remaining active in promoting health and wellness in the desert community writing a regular health column for Desert Health newsletter.

Chae Collette
Chae Collette started her training in the hospitality industry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and White Plains, New York. In 1990, she headed west to beautiful southern California where she was employed by Club Corporation of America properties in San Diego and Indian Wells for numerous years. She served in the capacities of Catering and Social Director, Membership Director and Member Relations Director at each property. She joined Sunrise Company as a Catering Director at Indian Ridge Country Club prior to her arrival at Toscana Country Club. Chae has been at Toscana for 13 years and she is instrumental coordinating numerous events and weddings at the club. Chae and her husband, who is also in the private club industry, reside in La Quinta with their son and daughter. Their son is a full time student at Cal Berkeley and their daughter is a sophomore in high school excelling in both academics and athletics.

Rick Sall
Rick is originally from Ohio where he graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor's of Science in National Resources Administration and a second Bachelor's of Science in Turfgrass Management and Science. Rick moved to the Desert in 1995 and was the Golf Course Superintendent at Tamarisk Country Club for thirteen years prior to coming to Sunrise Company in 2002. Rick and his wife Mariann, have two children. In his free time, Rick enjoys boating, snow skiing and golf.

Joseph Byrne
Joe returns to the Toscana team after working in the timeshare industry the last 2 years. Joe brings many years of facility related experience working for both Hotels and Country Clubs the last 20 years. He moved to the Coachella Valley in 2006 and worked at Toscana from 2008-2016 striving to exceed expectations and keep the facilities operating at the highest levels. Joe has three daughters Ashley, Alexa and Taylor ranging in age from 16-26. Joe also enjoys golfing and spending time with his children!
 
Director of Tennis and Pickleball
Cary Collins
Cary Collins comes to Toscana as an accomplished player and instructor of both Tennis and Pickleball. Cary has directed some of the country’s most prestigious programs including the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage. Most recently, Cary was the Director of Racquet Sports (both Tennis and Pickleball) at Trenton Country Club. Prior to that he was the Director of Tennis at the prestigious Atlanta Country Club. He is excited to return to the desert to lead the Tennis and Pickleball program at Toscana. As an elite level USPTA certified instructor, Cary has produced numerous USTA National Champions, Junior Grand Slam Champions, and NCAA National Champions. Cary also holds a USAPA Certification in Pickleball and began playing over 30 years ago when his father-in -law built a court in their back yard. Cary also resides in Bend, Oregon with his wife, Shannon where in the off-season he enjoys anything outdoors - running, hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding.

Alain Redelsperger
Born and raised in Strasbourg, France, Chef Alain attended the iconic Culinary School École Hôtelière de Strasbourg at age 15, graduated by age 17 and worked in some of the top kitchens in Paris, New York City and San Francisco. In Paris, he worked under three different famous Maîtres Cuisiniers de France in 2-star Michelin establishments. Chef Alain moved to the Coachella Valley in 1997 and began working as the Dining Room Chef at the Rancho Mirage Ritz Carlton, the only 4-star dining institution in the Valley at that time. Prior to joining Toscana Country Club, he spent seven years as the Executive Chef at Mountain View Country Club and eight years as the Executive Chef at The Vintage Club.
 
Director of Food and Beverage
Carleton Meehan
Carleton began his career in Austin, Texas in 1992 as a dishwasher. Through hard work and determination he worked his way to kitchen manager, and restaurant manager in multiple establishments throughout the state of Texas. Carleton moved to the Coachella Valley in 2004 and started his club career with American Golf Corporation where he served as the Food and Beverage Director at Palm Valley Country Club and a consultant for the company at multiple properties in the Southern California area until 2012. Since then he has worked as the Director of Purchasing at Eldorado Country Club and held simultaneous positions as Food and Beverage Director at Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage and The Old Baldy Club in Saratoga, Wyoming.
