The Courses

About Toscana Golf

Nicklaus set out to make certain that the courses at Toscana would leave an indelible mark. The result is two courses that present stunning vistas, weave naturally through dramatic elevation changes and present risk and reward opportunities to keep the experience fresh — even for the devoted daily player. Importantly, with membership limited to 275 for each course, tee times are unheard of at Toscana.

Great courses require three essential ingredients — an incredible location, a great architect and committed ownership. Jack Nicklaus noted the importance of this third component: “When Bill Bone decided he wanted to do a little bit of rock work, he eventually incorporated over two million dollars worth of boulders into just nine holes. He did that to enhance the course. It’s not what we did at Nicklaus Design; it’s what Bill Bone did. This is one of those rare examples when you have an owner passionate about creating something extraordinary. Bill Bone understands golf, and he understands what his Members want.”

Toscana is developed by Sunrise Company, the Desert’s preeminent golf course developer, who has built over 22 golf course communities in the Western United States.

LESSONS & RANGES

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

The Club features an extensive practice facility featuring a double-ended driving range, a short game practice area with chipping green and a large putting green. Toscana’s director of instruction inherited what his brothers call “the Harmon eye”— the knack for singling out the root cause of a problem. Bill Harmon is a staple on Golf Channel’s “On the Range” and has worked with many touring professionals, including Jay Haas, Billy Andrade, Bill Haas and Nicole Castrale. Bill is a priceless asset to Toscana’s golf game and makes his home at the Bill Harmon Performance Center. Bill, one of the Golf Digest Top 100 Instructors, combines world-class instruction with state-of-the-art training facilities and performance-assessment technologies to help golfers of all ages and levels take their game to the next level and give them the competitive edge they seek.
